1. When to visit
Egypt could be really hot in summer and very windy in winter, so the perfect time to visit is between September/November or April/May. However, if you have to visit during summer make sure to have enough water because the sun could be too much and you could become easily dehydrated.
2. Count your money after every transaction
Whether you are buying a souvenir, or getting yourself a bottle of water from a supermarket you have to count the change, Egyptians could make mistakes when giving you the rest of your money. Also, I would recommend you to know the shape of every bill to be able to count easier and faster.
3. Don’t follow people in the street
Some people could seem friendly and they will start a conversation with you in the street, it could be a tiny friendly conversation or they could be trying to take you to one of their friends’ souvenirs shops.
4. Dress conservatively
Egypt is considered one of the safest countries in the world -this is the opinion of many young travelers that have been around-, however, the Egyptian or the Arabic culture, in general, is considered to be a conservative culture, so as a way of respect towards this society it is better that you dress conservatively.
